ThinkingRock Development Roadmap
Introduction
The last free version 2.2.1, which contains the internationalisation and other improvements, was released in April 2009. Paid version 3.1 (includes improved performance, 6 Level Model, global find, automatic backup, delegates screen, email attachments save, etc..) has been released recently.
The purpose of this page is to explain how we see the future development of ThinkingRock and its funding. We have a good ThinkingRock community and users seem to be very appreciative of our product.
Finances
We started the development of ThinkingRock in October 2005. Our initial planning was to make the modules developed by our team payable through a membership. This was set-up in November 2008.
Version 3.1 is payable ($40 USD) if you are NOT a member at the time of the release. Email support and upgrades for a year are included.Renewal per year is $10 USD.
For existing members, the only change is to download the new version as it cannot be delivered through the modules download functionality. When we will deliver new functionality for version 3.1, it will be delivered through an update center.
There will always be a free version of ThinkingRock available. Currently, it is version 2.2.1 and no new free version is planned in the near future.
ThinkingRock has been translated into a few languages with the generous help from a few users. This has been offered for free.
