Under Options (Windows/Linux) and Preferences (Mac), enter recovery and backup preferences:

Recovery

Recovery files are in case ThinkingRock or your computer close while you are updating the data.

User can choose how many recovery files (file extension .rec.trx) to keep. By default, ten recovery files are kept.

Backup

There is an automatic backup process. Backups files are a full copy of your data file.

The user can choose the backup frequency and how many backup files (file extension .bak.trx) should be kept. By default, the backup is done every time ThinkingRock starts-up and ten backup files are kept.

To use a backup file, open ThinkingRock and use the File/Open menu option to select the backup file.

Folders

Specify the folders where the recovery files and backup files are saved. By default the files are saved in the same folder as the data file but we strongly recommend that you specify different folders than the one used for your data file.
