Looks like TR can not find a java installation.

You can set jdkhome in the <install dir>/tr/etc/tr.conf file. Un-comment the line:

#jdkhome="/usr/lib/jvm/jre1.6.0_17"

and change the path. It is probably best to use Sun (now Oracle) installation of Java.

Try running the installer with the --javahome option:

./tr-linux.sh --javahome /path

where path is the path to the java installation.

Jeremy is right - this version 3.1.2 has a problem detecting Jdk_home and it can be fixed by manual change in tr.conf file.
Previous version haven't had this problem...

I can confirm this.

TR 3.1.2 starts fine on Ubuntu with sh tr --jdkhome /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.20

Me too.. Many thanks Guys.

Couldn't get the --javahome install switch to work, but tweaking the tr.conf file to read:

jdkhome="/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-openjdk/jre"

worked a treat.
