How are the new developments going on? I hope you could give us good news in a short time.

Hello Claire,

could you share with us:
- the actual product as-is
- your thoughts about the next future
- some feedback areas (if you need feedback from us)?

I think that nearly all people that write and read here want to see TR as a product that can continue and grow, because nearly all of us (I think) use it every day.
My point of view is: this product really helps me to manage my life and my work every single day, so the only thing that matters to me is: how can we help to sustain the TR development?
For me, the main concern is to realize, one of this days, that this product is nearly dead...sometimes I fear this, seeing the slow responses.

But I want to stay positive and I say: please, help us to help you.
There are lots of ways to do..here are some ideas:
- start a discussion to gather feature requests, then do a vote to have a feeling of "most wanted features"
- do a periodic report (monthly?) of "what's happening in TR world"...development, ideas, feedback, etc
- make a section here where people can exchange files, templates, ideas, etc
- open a collaboration/social channel to help grow the community: a slack channel or whatever else you want
- choosing/asking some people to do beta testing (on alpha/beta release)
- asking for technical help if you need (I'm a technical lead in my enterprise business: I'd be obviously glad to help in any way if I could do!)
- the main point for me is: more, more, more transparency: on our side there's no way to have a correct representation of the overall TR situation, strenghts, problems, activity streams, etc

Let me know if I could do anything else
Thanks
Matteo

i would really appreciate if you could put the source code on github
even if the work has some sort of yearly pay that is also good .. but you need more change/keepers to keep up with the times.

Thanks for the good work claire.

Thinking Rock is still one of my favorite programs, but some things don't work anymore and it simply isn't developed any further. Unfortunately it has become a dead project. We don't get any information about the status quo either, we've been waiting for months to get an answer to this simple question. If there is no interest to develop it further, then it would be good for all other users to know.

I would appreciate it if this project would appear on GitHub (or be further developed), then you could at least add your own code and improve it, otherwise TR dies a slow but certain death.

I do not quite understand the suffering here. TR source code is publicly available for download at SourceForge: sourceforge.net/projects/thinkingrock/fi...kingRock/TR%202.2.1/ , specifically this file: sourceforge.net/projects/thinkingrock/fi...-source.zip/download

Included license agreement totally allows anyone to pick it up and develop further on GitHub.
Sure, its version 2.2.1 from 2009, but its way better than having nothing and asking developers to upload to GitHub the latest version for months, if not years.

So those technically inclined are welcome to continue the development - no need to apparently waste time by asking for latest and greatest.
