Yes - really torn myself, since I've had my Android for a couple of months. I love TR for personal use, but it's difficult to do mobile work, or to work as part of a team with this ap.

Currently I am setting up my company with Producteev to simply have the tools we need to collaborate, and Mobile access through Astrid. But I miss the flexibility and elegance of TR, and would far prefer to use your platform. I am highly looking forward to the Android ap - or even some indication of when to expect it. Is there any update?

As for team collaboratin tools, I so hope this is a direction TR is planning to evolve. I want my TR in all areas of my life!

Jeremy is only working on the Android app, except for some bugs fixing on the sync for the new version of the iPhone but that took about 1 hour of his time this WE. And anyway, the sync for the Android will be re-using some of the iPhone sync code.

Very good progress on the Android, hoping to get something to test by the end of this week.

Commercial question: what if we give the Android app for free but you only get the sync module if you are a member/have a license? It simplifies the distribution for us, we get better revenues (also Google is taking a 30% cut to distribute the app as Apple does and the TR licence is more than what we can sell the Android app for).

For iPhone users: we cannot do the same model as the iPhone app is developed by someone else.

Any opinion?

The TR team version will be at next move, after providing a calendar view for the single user version.

Thanks, Claire; that's good news!

I think the idea of a free Android ap with Sync for paid TR licenses makes a lot of sense. It will certainly give TR better exposure.

Also very happy to hear about the future team version!

I know this is a ways in the future, but I hope the team version will have integrated email task creation.

Thanks for all of your hard work!

Thanks for the update Claire. Great to hear of such promising progress.

Releasing the app for free for members would be a very shrewd move and one which I would fully endorse.

Claire,

Your proposed model makes sense to me - as a paying user it would feel bad to be asked to pay again, as for non paying users it provides a reasonable incentive to pay.
