How would you implement a will do list in TR with existing functionality?

bit.ly/MtWQT <= will do list explained in case you need a reference.

Surely any actions that you've made a commitment to yourself to undertake on a certain day (such as tomorrow) should be placed in your schedule by giving them the status "Scheduled".

Yep, that's the standard GTD methodology.

But I was looking for a slightly more new age-ish solution, that did not involved too much fiddling.

I may have to resort to Topics...

Another thing I was looking at was the due date...
But the existing functionality would have to be modified to allow entering '0' in the Postpone Action Date, at that point the selected items are set for the today.

What's so fiddly? You can change the status to Scheduled and leave the date/time blank. (You can even do this by right-clicking on the action from the action list).

I use the priority field for that. Ideally, when you do you daily review, set 3 tasks to MIT (Most Important Task - coming from ZenHabits) and make sure you do them that day.

That's an interesting article & I will try this with custom *priority* labels such as A1, A2, A3, etc. Those 3 priorities in a separate tab, denoting "will do" items for next day.
