Last year I purchased full version of great TR. Everything was working fine under XP including syncs with my iPhone. Recently I moved to a new address. I changed ISP, modem/router and upgraded to Win7 64bits on my PC and cannot sync any more.
On PC I have updated Win7, TR ver 3.1.2 with latest modules, on iPhone OS 4.1 and TR 2.1.
After I start Sync with iPhone of desktop PC it shows IP 10.1.1.8. I cannot assign this IP under Settings on iPhone, if I would like to stick with DHCP. As I change from DHCP to Static and enter IP 10.1.1.8. Network Ping Lite shows no connectivity.
Obviously if I stick to IP assigned by DHCP it differs from IP from TR on my desktop and there’s no sync.
I checked all info on your web site and forum. I also googled for this issues but I’m stuck. Can anybody help me please.

I also am having problems syncing using Windows 7 and hope the solution to my problem also helps the above post by lawrencep.

Windows 7 32-bit does not sync to iPhone at work. Installed TR 3.1.2 at home to see if corporate locked down environment was the culprit. Windows 7 64-bit at home has same symptoms.

I follow the same steps each time:
- Open TR on PC and press iPhone icon
- Open TR on iPhone, press sync, make sure IP matches PC
- Press Continue on PC
- Press Sync Data on iPhone
- After a second, the PC stops the progress bar and shows "Syncing with iPhone. Please wait." and iPhone shows "Connecting", but nothing ever happens.

I've tried adding TR to the firewall, adding port 5000 to the firewall, and even turning off the firewall. In each case, I can ping the iPhone from the PC and the PC from the iPhone as suggested in the wiki article.

I'm not sure what to try next. Anyone had success syncing iPhone using latest version of TR running in Windows 7?

Some similar and different experiences for me.

I have TR on my x86 Windows 7 laptop at home syncing with my iPhone.

It works well apart from discrepancies which means that I cannot trust it (e.g. an item may be inactive on the desktop but in the a.s.a.p. list on the iPhone.

However, I cannot get it to sync with my x64 Win7 desktop at the office using a wifi dongle. However until I see consistent results across iPhone and PC I won't be relying on the iPhone app.

As a test, I installed TR 2.2.1, created a Test.trx file with one item, synced with iPhone and it worked!

I went back to TR 3.1.2, opened the same Test.trx file, tried to sync with the iPhone and it failed.

In both cases, I made sure to go to the plugins page and make sure I had all updates installed.

This rules out the firewall and the locked-down corporate environment.

Could you check that on v3.2.1, the version number for the TR iPhone Sync module is 3.0.5.1.

If you cannot find the new sync module, please do the following:

Go under Tools/Plugins, Settings tab and ensure you have an update center set as

www.trgtd.com.au/tr/updates/3.1/updates.xml

then still under Plugins, go to Update Tab and press the Reload Catalog button.

My iPhone sync module was v3.0.4.1 and my update center was set as www.trgtd.com.au/tr/updates/3.0/updates.xml.

I changed the update center URL to 3.1 and installed the recommended plugins to update iPhone sync to v3.0.5.1. Everything worked after that.

P.S. I'm not sure why the update center setting was pointing to an old link -- I recently upgraded to TR 3 and used the latest download from the site.
