Questions from development team

TOPIC: TR for iPhone

Re:TR for iPhone 15 years 4 months ago #206

I think you need fairly full functionality in order to compete in the market, which is critical. (I understand that many of the current users just want some basic funtionality but i'm thinking about the future of the company not just my own requirements) At a minimum you need to be able to collect thoughts, and process action items, mark them done, schedule them, etc. There will be a larger market out there for "iPhone (or Touch) only" users that would not synch to a PC. Time to market is important as this space is filling up quickly and I think you're already late to the game - one of TR's competitors has already released a version of their app which appears to be fully functional stand alone

Right. I suppose no need to point out OmniFocus as an example of working GTD tool with iPhone module and sync capability - to borrow ideas or something.

At one moment I even thought what it would be easier to adopt XML converter scheme between ThRock and existing OmniFocus iPhone client (uses open XML for exchange) rather than developing our own. Yet it's up to you.

You make iPhone client - I purchase iPhone and your iPhone client altogether

Will the TR iPhone app work with the iPod Touch?

As far as appearance - it might be nice to give it an Australian flavor. Maybe co-brand it with Fosters beer?

It is my understanding what ThRock for iPhone will also work with Touch, without GPRS/3G over the air synchronization. At least this is the case with other iPhone/Touch applications - they work on both platforms.
