First of all, sorry if this has already been asked, but I could not find any.

I'd like to be able to generate a todo list with single tasks (not related in a project) for import in TR, is that possible? I guess it boils down to two things:
1) What would the format of the file be
2) How do I import that list into TR?

Easiest solution is to create a text file

Then in Thinking Rock, click File, Import, Thoughts

The file format is on line for each thought, and optionally Tab followed by topic.

This import thoughts, which then should be processed. With the paid version 3.x there are improvements that make this better. For instance, you can quickly process all thoughts, then multi select to change topic, context, etc. I use this often for planning in a simple text editor or mind mapping tool, then importing into thinking rock.

Hope this helps,
Dwight

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm afraid my needs are slightly more complex.
The todo's are generated by another tool I've written myself, so I need to be able to specify context and due dates for the tasks in addition to the description itself.

Importing thoughts as you describe will not allow me to do that, will it?

Cheers
Jesper.

You are correct, import thoughts will not be able to specify context and due dates for the tasks. I'd also love to be able to add context during import.

The problem is that we are importing thoughts and thoughts don't have a context.

Sure I understanding your point about importing thoughts.

What I'm searching for is a way to integrate a different data source with thinking rock. I would basically have a shell script which generates tasks with context and due dates.
