I've been able to install the new (and old) version on my laptop and home computer, but my work machine is having problems making it past the initial scan of the installer. All are 64-bit Windows 7 machines.

When I run tr-3.6.0-x64-jre an error box comes up saying:

"An error occurred while verifying bundled JVM. Most probably the bundled JVM is not compatible with the current platform." The newest JRE is certainly installed (in C:\Program Files\Java\jre.1.8.0_60\), but it seems to not be able to find it. Similarly, if I install the Java SDK and run the tr-3.6.0.exe it says I need to install Java.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? There's not much you can do when the installer won't let you even install the software and not give you any options to try and diagnose or correct the problem.

FYI - following these instructions didn't help: docs.oracle.com/goldengate/1212/gg-winux...AD/java.htm#BGBFJHAB

Based on feedback from TR support, I tried to explicitly point it to Java resulting in the following:

Finally managed a work around by using the --extract flag on the tr-3.6.0.exe (tr-3.6.0.exe --extract "C:\temp" which just dumps a bundle.jar and CLASS file into a specific directory. Then I manually launched java via java -jar bundle.jar and made it through the install process.
