TOPIC: Views Not Automatically Updating

Admittedly, this is more of a nuisance than a show stopper.

Before the latest updates, completed action items would automatically be removed from my action views based on my filtering.

The new behavior is the item remains in the view, crossed through (indicating it is complete) and is only removed from my view if I click on another view tab and then go back to the initial tab (essentially, refreshing the view).

To be more precise, none of the action items in the view, once change, initiate a view refresh, as it had done in the past. For example, if I had an item scheduled for today and change it to tomorrow, it remains in my view until I refresh the view (note the view is only suppose to show items that have an action or a due date of "Today").

I have reviewed my settings and nothing has changed, nor are there additional options that I can see.

The current work-around is the refreshing of the view, but I would prefer to have ThinkingRock automatically refresh the view whenever anything changes.

Has anyone else seen this behavior and been able to fix it?

Is the ThinkingRock Team aware of this?

this behavior came with the last update package.
I have the same problem.

@developers: Can you please solve this issue? It is very unuseful and one step back in the comfort of using TR.

We cannot reproduce it on Windows or Mac.

In my Review Actions screen, the current tab does get refreshed when I change the action.

Could you send us a screen dump so I can see if any difference? And also the log file - in case there is a Java error when refreshing the tab.

Plugin "TR View - Actions" version 1.3.5 seems to be the culprit.


I run two different installs of Thiinking Rock, one at work and one at home. I noticed this issue after updating yesterday at work.

Since I had not yet updated at home, I did some testing. Everything worked fine at home initially. Once I installed TR View - Actions version 1.3.5, this problem started happening.

I have attached a log from when this happened.

I'm eager to get this problem fixed and to help in any way I can. I'm a Java programmer and have previously downloaded the Thinking Rock source and played around with it in NetBeans. If you have problems reproducing this error, I could potentially do some local debugging in Netbeans, if needed. Let me know.

In the meantime, is there an easy way for me to revert back to the previous version of this plugin?
